BBQ Beef Salad 

Serves: 4
Preparation Time: 10 minutes
Cooking Time: 2 minutes
 

Ingredients
4    1cm thick slices lean sirloin steak or lean rump, scotch fillet or blade steaks

1    fennel bulb, sliced

1 cup   olives

200 g   assorted salad leaves

150 g   semi sundried tomatoes

Method
1.   Brush sliced fennel and steaks with olive oil. Place onto a hot BBQ, cook for 1 minute on each side. Set aside, while making salad.
2.   To make the salad, toss together salad leaves, olives, tomatoes and barbequed fennel.
3.   Place steak on the plate and top with salad and balsamic vinaigrette dressing; then repeat to create a stacking effect.
 

Tip:
Zucchini, mushrooms or capsicum can be used in place of fennel.
